The Geomatics Canada
Scholarship Program
Funded by Natural Resources Canada and administered annually by the Canadian
Institute of Geomatics (CIG), this scholarship was created to assist students
enrolled in a post secondary institution in the field of Geomatics.
In October 2002, the program was expanded to include up to four (4) graduate
level University Scholarships of $2,500, up to eight (8) undergraduate level
University Scholarships of $2,000 and up to eight (8) College/Technical Institute
Scholarships of $1,500 awarded annually and distributed throughout the geomatics
disciplines.
The Canadian Institute of Geomatics will also present each of the scholarship
winners with a complimentary one-year student membership which includes a subscription
to Geomatica.
Deadline for application is February 15th of each year.
ELIGIBILITY
1. These annual scholarships shall be made to students in good standing, registered
full time, in a recognized university, technical institution or community college
in Canada. Students must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants.
2. Students must be continuing a course of study in the field of geomatics
within a full time, co-op program or post-graduate studies.
3. Students awarded a scholarship are not eligible in any subsequent year.
